David Fesl
Born in 1995 in the Czech Republic, lives and works in Prague.

David Fesl’s work investigates attention and the distribution thereof. Using his own visual-haptic experience, Fesl looks for the tiniest objects that we tend to overlook and throw away as waste and forms delicate artifacts out of them. Focusing on detail and the poetics of the critique of the media, Fesl examines the psychology and vulnerability of his viewer. Fesl’s objects point at the world’s cultural richness and the hidden radicality of the crafts. They democratize the conditions in which one can create today. Fesl’s work is closely related to archi- tecture and reacts to the particular context of each of the venues, reflecting the remnants of local modernist traditions and the theory of the aura.
